Material matters.
So does the making.

TEXTILE GUIDE ยท 01

Good fabric is more than appearance. Fiber, structure, weight and finishing work together to shape how a textile feels, drapes and performs.

QUALITY / 4 LAYERS

Quality starts
below the surface.

A fabric should not be judged by softness or thickness alone. Its composition, construction, weight and finish all influence how it behaves in real use.

01
FOUNDATION

Fiber & Blend

Fiber composition is the starting point of a textile. Different fibers and blends can change softness, strength, breathability, resilience and care needs.

02
CONSTRUCTION

Weave & Structure

The way yarns are woven or knitted changes the character of the cloth. Consistent construction contributes to stability, while different structures create different levels of flexibility and drape.

03
BEHAVIOR

Weight & Drape

Fabric weight is often expressed in GSM โ€” grams per square meter. Weight influences body and movement, but heavier does not automatically mean better. The right weight depends on the intended use.

04
FINAL CHARACTER

Finish & Care

Finishing helps define the final surface, touch and appearance of a textile. Care instructions matter too: good material selection considers not only how a fabric looks today, but how it fits its intended use over time.

QUALITY CHECK

What should you look for?

01
Consistency

Look for an even surface and a structure that appears consistent across the material.

02
Hand Feel

Touch gives useful information about texture, flexibility and the overall character of the cloth.

03
Purpose

Premium does not mean one universal specification. Quality should make sense for the fabric's intended use.

04
Care

Clear care guidance helps you choose materials that suit the way the finished piece will be used.
